Sam Roddick, daughter of Body Shop founder Anita Roddick, opened Coco de Mer in London's Covent Garden in 2001. With a subversively branded flyposter campaign depicting ordinary people in the throes of live orgasm, an emporium dedicated to the celebration of sexual pleasure, empowerment, dignity and discovery was born.
Roddick is committed to enabling individuals to use sex as an instrument to transform their own existence. She now has a flagship store on LA’s Melrose Avenue, a second London outpost and a scheduled opening in New York later this year.
