Richard Woods
Print on wood
For our entertaining issue, Richard Woods produced a twist on his trademark cartoon-like prints of wood grain. Resembling a giant game of Pick-Up-Sticks, his cover plays with perspective and mass. Asked in an interview with Wallpaper* to sum up his work ethos in three words, he replied: ‘Print more wood.’
Since we launched our limited edition cover project as part of Wallpaper* magazine's tenth anniversary celebrations in 2006, some of the biggest and brightest names in the worlds of art, architecture and design have created unique and memorable images, exclusively for our Wallpaper* subscribers. With the artists' inspiration ranging from elk to goldfish, from fashion to the future, here's the full cover story to date.
